CHATTANOOGA, TN (June 1, 2023)- United Way of Greater Chattanooga proudly announces Dionne Jenkins as the 2023 Campaign Cabinet Chair. For the last fifteen years, Dionne has shown a unique dedication to connecting in the community through volunteerism, inclusion, and professional leadership.

As current Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, Dionne has a unique perspective and insight into the challenges facing our community. With a motto of “how can I help,” Dionne’s commitment to paving the way for others to give back was integral to her selection as campaign chair for United Way of Greater Chattanooga.

“Showing up is important, but it’s not always enough,” Jenkins explains. “Truly engaging with your community is asking how you can help. Chattanooga is a beautiful place with such generous people, and I am honored to be in the position to affect real change with the United Way team.”

The purpose of United Way of Greater Chattanooga’s Campaign Chair is to work alongside volunteers and staff to drive the mission of connecting people and resources and engage the people they serve at every level. Dionne’s involvement with United Way is long-standing, and United Way of Greater Chattanooga is honored to work with her and the community at an even higher level to build a stronger, healthier Chattanooga.

“Dionne is the embodiment of living united” says United Way’s Vice President of Community and Corporate Engagement, Terran Anderson. “She inspires, challenges and brings laughter in every room she walks into, and we’re honored to have her leadership driving our shared mission in the community this year.”
