United Way of Greater Chattanooga Emerging Leaders will bring together community changemakers for Great Conversations: From Blueprint to Belonging, an interactive event exploring how the places we live, work, and gather shape connection and belonging. The evening will feature thought-provoking discussions, networking opportunities, and insights on building stronger communities.
Set for May 6 at Mac Ave Events, this engaging event will feature a panel of local leaders discussing how our built environments—public parks, city streets, and homes—shape the way we connect as a community. Attendees will leave with real ways to advocate, give, or volunteer to build a stronger Chattanooga. Tickets include heavy appetizers from Il Primo and refreshments.
Community members are encouraged to attend to meet local changemakers shaping Chattanooga’s future, connect with others passionate about building a people-centered city, and discover actionable ways to get involved.
Meet the Panelists:
- Esther Lovingood, programs and communications manager at River City Company, will discuss how public spaces foster connection and belonging.
- Donna C. Williams, principal owner of Live Urban Ventures, LLC and advocate for affordable housing, will highlight the role of housing in building inclusive communities.
- Jon Jon Wesolowski, content producer and speaker for The Happy Urbanist, will explore how individuals can take direct action in city planning for a human-centric city.
- Will Clegg, Chattanooga native and partner at HHM CPAs, will share how businesses can drive change through investment and engagement.
“Emerging Leaders is all about giving young professionals a space to connect, learn, and take action in our community,” said Natalie Patric, Director of Community Engagement at United Way of Greater Chattanooga. “Great Conversations is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people and leave feeling inspired to make a difference.”
Clegg, whose firm, HHM CPAs, is the event sponsor, stressed the role of businesses. “A thriving city doesn’t happen by accident,” he said. “It takes businesses stepping up, investing in the community, and supporting smart growth. I’m excited to be part of this conversation and to see more young professionals take the lead.”
