Visitor Services Associate

The Tennessee Aquarium, rated the best aquarium in America for overall guest satisfaction, attracts over 750,000 visitors each year. As a Visitor Services Associate, you will provide an excellent level of customer care by anticipating and meeting the needs of all our visitors.

Key Responsibilities
1. Connect with visitors from various backgrounds to ensure a positive, high level of customer service throughout their visit.
2. Address complaints and provide prompt service recovery in a calm and professional manner.
3. Regularly rotate between each designated post throughout the River Journey and Ocean Journey buildings; maintain a working knowledge of each area to adequately assist and educate visitors and ensure efficient operations.
4. Ensure the smooth flow of visitors throughout the Aquarium buildings by directing visitors, alleviating crowds, monitoring elevators and escalators, etc.
5. Monitor and ensure the safety of our animals and visitors at each touch tank by squeegeeing, clearly communicating the rules, and quickly responding to incidents
6. Communicate professionally via a two-way radio.
7. Address large groups of visitors of varying ages and backgrounds with confidence and professionalism while using a microphone.
8. Uphold all safety protocols in a professional manner; provide assistance during emergency situations, monitor both buildings and the plaza area, and report any safety concerns to the appropriate individual(s) in a timely manner.

Part-time, hourly ($15/hour)
