Website Partnership for Families, Children, and Adults

Under direct supervision of the Shelter Program Manager (SPM), the Lead Housing Navigator (LHN) provides case management, advocacy, and follow-up assistance to individuals and families in the service area fleeing domestic violence and experiencing homelessness and/or are at risk of becoming homeless. The LHN will supervise grant-funded staff such as Housing Navigator and Employment Specialist, interns, and volunteers to ensure service meets expectations set by the Council on Accreditation (COA), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics, and the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA). Additionally, this position will assist in outreach and advocacy efforts by providing on-site support to VSS, including participation in the on-call 24/7 crisis hotline and Lethality Assessment (LAP) call rotations. This temporary position is grant funded through December 31, 2024.

Education & Experience Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, sociology, or similar preferred. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in housing navigation, social work, human services, or responsible administrative role required. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in supervisory or leadership roles preferred.
