Summary/Objective
This revised position is responsible for designing, implementing, and facilitating the execution of inclusive weekday activities for up to 20 adult residents who live with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. Planned opportunities should help residents secure, sustain, grow, and encourage independent living skills while also being attentive to their social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs. The person in this role should feel comfortable engaging volunteers and community partners in their efforts. This staff member also helps share the impact of Hosanna on its’ communication channels. This position works closely and should be aware of and provide updates to other team members such as the Case Manager and Operations team.

Position Requirements
● Research, solicit feedback, plan, organize, and assess creative on-site and off-site opportunities, special events, and excursions based on identified goals and inclusive of residents’ needs and abilities.
● Explore and invite partnerships with volunteers and community partners to benefit the growth of Hosanna and its’ residents.
● Communicate any needs for the activity room, garden, and treehouse to appropriate staff members.
● Encourage and increase resident participation in daily activities and special events, particularly educational ones.
● Manage and appropriately communicate activities calendar to residents, parents/guardians, and other constituents.
● Responsible for the spending, budget adherence, and documentation of expenses related to appropriate ledgers.
● Build relationships and maintain an inviting presence to further self-awareness in residents, personal accountability, and peer-to-peer community building.
● Maintain and provide related data in a timely manner per internal and external needs (i.e. grant proposals, donors, etc.).
● Take pictures, video, and capture testimonials during activities and conversations to share the impact of efforts to constituents on Hosanna’s social media and other communication channels (i.e. quarterly newsletter).
● Responsible for transporting residents in a Hosanna bus (no additional license required) or other owned vehicles for activities or community events as needed.
● Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality of resident (client) and organizational operations information.
● Safely use all equipment and materials (i.e. procurement card) by following established safety procedures, using appropriate safeguards, and following common-sense safety rules in all on-the-job activities.
● Appropriately respond to and communicate known violations of any office policy, code, safety policy, or law immediately to leadership.
● Attend occasional staff meetings as available and/or needed.
● Contribute to a collaborative work environment by fostering cooperation, due diligence, and attention to detail within the team to achieve short-and long-range team goals in line with the mission, vision, and strategic direction.
● Serve as an ambassador to visitors, parents, Board Members, and volunteers while working and in the community.
● Other duties as assigned by supervisor due to the needs of the day.
Travel
• This position frequently requires local travel based on planned activities and special events in an employer provided vehicle or on the rare occasion of a private vehicle with eligible mileage reimbursement if needed and approved by supervisor.
Work Environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting, in the community, and with a diverse population in an independent-living facility which may require sitting, frequent standing, reaching, bending, etc.

Required Education and Experience
● Associate’s Degree
● Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.
● Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including attention to grammar and business correspondences.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fluid environment.
● Comfortable utilizing graphics design tools (i.e. Canva) and social media platforms.
● Must be flexible with their availability (particularly on select Holidays), a self-starter, open-minded, detail-oriented and dependable.
Preferred Education and Experience
● Experience working with individuals who live with disabilities.
● Non-profit experience through a previous practicum, internship, job, or sustained volunteering.
● Interested in fields such as education and teaching, social work, care or service coordinator roles, patient advocacy, and outreach.
● Experience in curriculum design.

Salary and Benefits (Full Personnel Policies Handbook Available Upon Request)
• $16-$17 per hour upon hire with a bi-weekly pay period. Position is eligible for a $1.00 raise after a 90-day period pending performance and funding.
• Holiday pay is equivalent to hourly pay. This position is eligible for Overtime Pay at “hourly rate and a half” when applicable and approved.
• Position accrues .092 of Paid Time Off (PTO) per 1 hour worked during the first year and then increases.
• Flex-time within same week is available on a case-by-case basis if communicated to and approved by supervisor.
