Salary Range: $52,000-$56,000
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervisory Responsibility: Up to Seven (7) Regular Part-Time Staff and Additional “As Needed” Employees

Summary/Objective
This revised position is responsible for facilitating the communication and execution of the Executive Director’s strategic priorities and vision to the staff delivering the daily services for up to 20 adult residents who live with intellectual and/or physical disabilities on a 7-acre property. The Director of Operations and Outreach will ensure Hosanna’s administrative and residential facility practices are efficient, timely, compliant, maintained, safe, and mission focused. This staff member will help grow professionals and maintain accountability of expectations. The Director of Operations and Outreach will be expected to help build relationships with businesses and community organizations to cultivate partnerships and sponsorships.

Competency- Operations and Staff Leadership
● Strengthen day-to-day office and facility operations by developing, implementing, and monitoring sustainable policies and procedures.
● Oversee 24/7 staffing coverage and resident and operation assistant schedules in accordance with the budget.
● Coordinate cross-departmental communication and work-flow to further clarity and alignment on goals and attention to details among staff.
● Solicit, track, and prepare data reports for internal and external needs (i.e. Board, grant proposals, donors, etc).
● Support strategic planning by leading coordination efforts and streamlining the execution of initiatives.
● Recruit, hire, execute on-boarding and off-boarding procedures, supervise, and evaluate applicable staff.
● Develop and implement staff recognition strategies to enhance retention.
● Incorporate professional development and encourage staff member community engagement.
● Appropriately respond to and communicate known violations of any office policy, code, safety policy, or law immediately to Executive Director.
Competency-Facilities and Property Management
• Address immediate building, equipment, vehicle, and property maintenance and repair concerns and identify future needed improvements to ensure accessibility and safety.
• Oversee risk-management, emergency preparedness, incident reporting, compliance, and requirements.
● Manage relationships and agreements with maintenance vendors and service providers.
Competency-Community Relations
● Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and services by maintaining website and communication avenues.
● Build relationships with businesses, community organizations, and foundations for advocacy, partnerships, and sponsorships.
● Attend and engage with community events, meetings, and networking opportunities as needed to enhance the organization’s visibility.
● Assist and participate in Board Committees on the resident admissions process, fundraising, and/or the Endowment.
● Serve as an ambassador to visitors, parents, Board Members, and volunteers while working and in the community.
Competency-Financial Management
● Decision and delegation responsibility on select ledgers and procurement cards to ensure spending, budget adherence, and documentation of expenses is maintained by applicable staff.
● Identify, prepare, and help submit grant proposals and follow-up reporting.
● Other duties as assigned by supervisor due to the needs of the day.
Travel
• This position may require local travel based on outreach event participation, a special event, or an emergency in an employer provided SUV or small bus (no additional license required). On the rare occasion, utilizing a private vehicle with eligible mileage reimbursement outside of limits may be available if needed and approved supervisor.
Work Environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting, outside on-site, in the community, and with a diverse population in an independent-living facility which may require sitting, frequent standing, reaching, bending, etc. The Director of Operations and Outreach needs to be equally comfortable working in an office, meeting with constituents, and assisting hands-on with minor property maintenance.
Education and Experiences
• Bachelor’s Degree in Non-Profit Management, Social Work, Education, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Familiarity with disability services, accessibility, and person-centered practices through a professional capacity or personal connection.
• 3-5 years of experience supervising employees and volunteers with responsibility for accountability.
• Experience with facility operations in some capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.
• Proficient written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, detail-oriented, and to be self-starter in a fluid environment.
• Some grant writing and grant management experience.
• Ability to develop and analyze organizational performance and implement process improvements.

• Position accrues .0923 of Paid Time Off (PTO) per 1 hour worked during the first year (24 days) and then increases.
• 12 Paid Holidays during Calendar Year.
• Flex-time and flexible schedule is available (and sometimes needed) on a case-by-case basis if communicated to and approved by supervisor.
