Erlanger Auxiliary
The Erlanger Auxiliary Gift Shop is on the Baroness Campus of Erlanger Health. It is owned by the Erlanger Auxiliary and is operated by Erlanger volunteers. The Gift Shop is one of the Auxiliary’s largest fundraisers.
The Gift Shop Clerk will report to the Gift Shop Supervisor and will work with the Auxiliary Board of Directors under the leadership of the President.
The Gift Shop Clerk is an employee of the Erlanger Auxiliary and not an employee of Erlanger Health.
The Gift Shop Clerk will assist with customer service, cash register transactions, stock replenishment, and daily upkeep of the gift shop.
Hours: Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Duties include:
- Performing computerized cash register sales transactions
- Assisting with area stock and visual merchandising; ensuring that all areas, including the sales floors and all storage areas, are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Performing shift closeout, including end-of-day cash counts, printing reports, and preparing daily deposit.
- Monitoring general housekeeping cleanliness within the area; ensures that equipment and facilities remain in good repair, and that employee and customer safety standards are maintained.
- Exhibiting strong customer service skills through building and nurturing relationships with hospital guests, hospital employees and volunteers.
- Ensuring that the importance of a culture consistent with high quality customer service is a priority.
- Adapting the hours of the Gift Shop, under the direction of the Director of Volunteer Services, to accommodate hospital visitation policies, holidays, and special events.
- Understanding the missions of Erlanger and the Erlanger Auxiliary and being compassionate to those they serve.
- All other duties as assigned.
