Women's Workforce Development

Position Summary:
The Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for strengthening Dress for Success Chattanooga’s relationships with referral agencies, increasing client engagement, and managing the organization’s volunteer program. This role will focus on recruiting and retaining clients and volunteers through partnerships with local agencies while also ensuring a strong, dedicated volunteer base to support Dress for Success Chattanooga programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Referral Agency & Client Recruitment:
●Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral agencies to ensure a steady flow of engaged clients.
●Actively seek out new referral partners and establish partnerships with organizations that align with Dress for Success Chattanooga’s mission.
●Conduct outreach presentations to agencies, community groups, and local businesses to raise awareness of available services.
●Implement strategies to increase client engagement and follow-through with Dress for Success Chattanooga programs.

Volunteer Management:
●Recruit, train, and retain volunteers (individual and corporate) to support programs and events.
●Develop a volunteer engagement strategy, ensuring meaningful experiences and long-term commitment.
●Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and communicate regularly to keep them engaged.
●Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments, ensuring appropriate coverage for all programs.

Community Engagement & Events:
●Represent Dress for Success Chattanooga at community events, networking opportunities, and outreach initiatives.
●Assist in planning and executing events that promote community involvement and client engagement.
●Collaborate with the marketing team to share success stories and highlight the impact of referral partnerships and volunteers.

Administrative & Reporting Duties:
●Track and report data on client referrals, engagement rates, and volunteer impact.
●Maintain up-to-date contact lists for referral agencies and volunteers.
●Prepare reports on outreach efforts and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:
●Bachelor or Associate degree (or equivalent experience) (preferred social work, nonprofit management, business, communications, or a related field but specific degree not required).
●2+ years of experience in community outreach, volunteer coordination, or nonprofit work preferred.
●Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
●Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
●Passion for empowering women and supporting the mission of Dress for Success Chattanooga.

Compensation & Benefits:
●$30,000-$35,000
●Eligibility for a performance-based increase after a 90-day review.
