Boyd-Buchanan School

The Director of Advancement and Development is a key leadership role within our PK-12 school. This position requires a strategic and visionary leader with a positive fundraising, donor relations, and campaign management track record. The successful candidate will be pivotal in securing resources to enhance special programs, facilities, and educational experiences.

Responsibilities:

Capital Campaign Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive capital campaign strategy with school leadership and stakeholders. Establish campaign goals, timelines, and metrics for success. Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all campaign activities.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, alumni, parents, and other potential contributors. Develop and implement personalized stewardship plans to maintain and enhance donor engagement. Collaboration with School.

Leadership: Work closely with the Head of School, Board of Trustees, and other key stakeholders to align fundraising efforts with the school’s strategic priorities. Provide regular updates on campaign progress and fundraising activities.

Fundraising Events: Plan and execute annual fundraising events to support annual fundraising and advancement goals. Coordinate with event committees and volunteers to ensure successful and impactful events.

Alumni Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to engage alumni in the capital campaign and overall fundraising initiatives. Foster a sense of community and pride among alumni, encouraging their support for the school.

Marketing and Communications: Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create materials that effectively communicate the goals and impact of the capital campaign. Utilize various channels to promote fundraising initiatives and engage the broader community.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, philanthropy, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising or advancement projects. Proven success in securing major gifts and managing donor relationships. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with K-12 education and a passion for supporting educational initiatives.

Salary: The salary range is based on experience and market standards for the position. When selected for an interview, a comprehensive salary and benefits package will be provided to each applicant.
