Spring Day of Caring Recap
Our First Spring Day of Caring was a success!
Spring Day of Caring was such a joy – thank you to our volunteers who saved our nonprofit community nearly $14,000! We had over 450 volunteers completing nearly 40 projects. Thank you to our sponsor, Unum. See the photos of the day!
Critical Support Needed
Put Your Dollar to Work, Too.
Volunteerism is more than a helping hand—it brings people together as neighbors, transforming our community. Last year, volunteers served over 8,600 hours through United Way of Greater Chattanooga.
But volunteerism starts long before anyone shows up to serve.
It takes planning.
It takes supplies.
And… it takes funding.
A recent cut to government grants has created a critical need, but together we can fill this gap in funds.
Your donation to United Way’s Volunteer Center powers the work behind the scenes to recruit, train, and mobilize thousands of caring individuals to support local nonprofits, strengthen schools, assist families in crisis, and uplift our most vulnerable neighbors.
Thanks to donors like you, volunteers don’t just want to help—they know how and where to help in ways that truly matter.
Donate today. Your support is what powers volunteerism, right here at home.
United is the way.
Day of Caring 2025 Highlight
How it Works
We ask all area nonprofits to submit their projects, and we find the volunteers for them! Our corporate partners are the first to choose projects, and then we open it up to the public to volunteer. This results in a day of connection that lives long after the event is over.
Nonprofits
Every year, our nonprofit partners are invited to submit projects they need volunteers for on our platform, ihelpchattanooga.org. Submit your projects before February 13!
Corporate Partners
As an employer, you get first access to signing up for projects with nonprofits you care about. Start getting your teams together and find a project meaningful to you! Projects open February 23, and the deadline to sign your team up with t-shirt information March 23.
